a day in Tijuana

A Day in Tijuana

JUNE 14, 2015

Today I visited Tijuana. The climate was warm, in the 70’s and there was no rain. I am not used to weather like this, as Seattle’s climate is nothing like this. Due to its location by the Pacific Ocean, the air smelled of the sea. Being close to the border, most people spoke English although everyone also knew Spanish. It was nice being able to communicate with the people, as I don’t know much Spanish apart from a few select words. Many people were looking to get across the wall to the United States, however that does not change the fact that Tijuana was very beautiful with its ocean view and tourist attractions such as the beach or the Tijuana Cultural Center. To get around in the city, I traveled by a yellow taxi which was very conveniently located. On Sundays, there are bullfights in some areas which i was lucky enough to see. It was interesting to see how different places had different entertainment. Today in itself was really enjoyable, and I hope the rest of my trip will go as well as today did.
